Attend A Session: Parenting Seminar

What should a parent know about personal safety for children?

How should you teach your child proper personal safety habits and tips?

When should you start?

What should you say and do?

We can help you answer these questions! Our Parenting Seminars present the following:

  • Background information on child victimization
  • How to begin talking to your child about personal safety
  • How to train your child in a NON-frightening manner
  • Safety tips for parent and child to follow

Children should not be paranoid or panicky every time someone talks to them! They need to learn personal safety skills as routinely, gently, and effectively as they learn any other developmental skill.

Discussion covers:

  • The need for unconditional love
  • Basic teaching/training techniques and attitudes
  • Lures child molesters may use
  • Home Alone Skills
  • Emergency Situations
  • What to do if approached
  • What to do if lost
  • Conflict and Bullying
  • Tolerance
  • Cyber-Safety
  • Customized to your needs
  • Questions from the audience

Seminars range from 15 minutes to 2 hours. It is recommended that children do not attend as some actual cases of victimization may be discussed.

Fee is based on location. Call 412-241-1234 or e-mail us for details.
