Check-Point:
Be a Kind and Caring Kid!
Basic
Information:
A Kind and Caring Kid (KCK)
is someone who treats others the way he or she wants to
be treated.
Each child is a special person, with talents, abilities,
and characteristics. It is important for children to know
that they have value and worth and that they deserve respect
from others---just as they give respect
to others. Healthy Self-Esteem
is different from haughtiness, self-centeredness, and conceit.
Tolerance
is accepting the differences in others. This is a two-fold
process:
1. Recognize the differences in others.
2. Respect the differences in others.
Intolerance often leads to conflict, bullying, and violence!!
Tolerance
is a behavior that should be modeled by all parents, instructors,
and other adults, so that children will learn this easily.
Everyone should be Kind and Caring!
