Charlie Check-First Teaches children to "Check First before you go anywhere with anyone."

Safety Kids, Inc. has replaced the antiquated stranger concept with Charlie Check-First. The mascot and Check First concept have been readily endorsed and used by educators, law enforcement personnel, and social service agencies across the country.

Charlie’s simple rule is “CHECK FIRST before you go anywhere with anyone.”

This is not a fearful approach. It does not teach children to be paranoid or to distrust people, especially those the child knows. The program reminds children that most of the world is good, kind, and helpful!
